The Butte County Sheriff’s Office, the Paradise Police Department and other agencies lifted evacuation orders Wednesday for “Zones 3, 8 and 14” along the Pentz Road corridor. That was the first area hit when the Camp Fire stormed town on the morning of Nov. 8, attacking Paradise with embers that surged ahead of the main conflagration. It had taken weeks for PG&E crews to restring power lines, for cadaver teams to sift through debris for bones, for workers to cut down unstable trees.
